Volume 42 Issue 3 – March 2023
Neisha Atchley – Commodore
“Sailing unties the knots in my mind.” Al Noble
I was talking with my daughter, Carson, about sailing and she said, “Sailing is like camping but on the water.” Since taking up sailing a couple of years ago sailing has been the top competitor for my camping time during the summer. Sailing, camping, being outside in general are ways to untie the knots in my mind. Talking with our Salty Dog members, I would say being outdoors is a something we all enjoy whether on the water or on land.
Looking forward to spring’s arrival, we have the Landlubbers Awards Ceremony on March 9th. Let’s celebrate together.
Doris, our Dryland Coordinator, has a brunch at the Landing scheduled this month. Music, tasty food and companionship, a trifecta for a wonderful time.
Coming in April, we will have a sail coordinators meeting, an opportunity to learn or review how to coordinate a sail. Keep an eye out for details.
****Hoodies****
We are putting together an order for Salty Dog Hoodies. An 8oz 50/50 Gildan zipper hoody will be approximately $35.00. Please email commodore@saltydog.org if you would like to order one.
