Happy Independence Day. While we’re having fun with picnics and fireworks, let’s
remember to honor our veterans and others who have served to keep our country free.
Without them and their sacrifices, we would not have the freedoms we enjoy.
Thank you everyone!
FINALLY – the sun is out and Chatfield Reservoir is open for boating. We’ve had a
great response to our Mens’ Day Sail and we’ll be filling 3-4 boats, thanks to the efforts
of Ray Mays. The Lake Mac sail is almost full but I hear there are a couple of spots left.
It offers big water, great beaches and all varieties of sailing. If you want to attend, you
better sign up NOW !
EASY SIGN UP AT NO EXTRA CHARGE – members and guests can now sign up and pay
for events and products on our web site at no extra charge. Your Board made two
changes recently. We’ve deleted the “convenience fee” and our mark up for guests on
our sails has dropped from 50% to only 20%. Hopefully, this will encourage more folks
to give us a try.
We bid farewell to our Rear Commodore, Becky Mock at a farewell Happy Hour
organized by Lori Conway. Becky has accepted a new job near her family in Arizona.
She has served in lots of positions on the Board, and I know we all wish her happiness
and success.
In addition to our 1-day sails and our after-meeting sails, we’ve got 2 great sails
planned on Dillon – one mid August and the traditional Labor Day weekend sail.
Sign ups are open for the August sail, sign ups will open for the Labor Day sail in
mid-July. Sign up the easy way – use the web site: www.saltydog.org.
Go to events and choose your event. Easy and quick!
See everyone on the water….FINALLY !
