I can’t believe November is almost over and Christmas is just around the corner. That being said, we have a great Holiday party coming up for our December 9th meeting. It’s at the same place and time as regular meetings but Andrea has some fun games and white elephant gift exchange planned. See her announcement in this newsletter.
I would like to thank all the 2021 board members for their support and hours they put into their positions to help run this club! We’ve had a lot of sailing on Chatfield, and three weekend trips to other lakes —Lake Pueblo, Big Mac, and Lake Dillon. We have also socialized at the dryland events, starting in the spring with miniature golf after Covid lifted for part of the year. Considering we started the year with Zoom meetings and finally meeting in person again in May, I’d say we had a pretty successful year. I couldn’t have done it alone without all the board members’ help and members participating again!
If you missed last month’s meeting and elections, here are the results:
Commodore— Diana Bliss
Vice Commodore— Mark Graas
Treasurer— Brooke Moreland
Secretary— Cliff Randall
Membership— Ellie Watson
On the Water— Shane Brouillette
Newsletter— Cindie Sandlin
Web Master— Larry Moreland
Dry Land— Neisha Atchley
I would like to welcome Cindie Sandlin and Neisha Atchley to the 2022 board. Also, two members are switching positions from last year to this year—Cliff Randall and Ellie Watson. I’m looking forward to working with the new board and again would like to thank Andrea and Tiffany for all their hard work this past year. If you see them be sure to thank them, too.
In January, we will be presenting our tentative sailing schedule for 2022, so if you have any lakes to suggest, please contact Shane at firstname.lastname@example.org
. Hope to see you all at the Holiday Party on Thursday, December 9th at 6 PM at New Cafe Del Sol Restaurant, 608 Garrison Rd, Lakewood.

A Fond Farewell
This issue is my last and stands as my farewell to all of you Salty Dogs. I found a wonderful group of fellow sailors amongst you and consider myself lucky to have served on the Board. I am excited for Cindie to take over the helm of this here ship. I know she’ll be great!
My time in CO is over and I have found wonderful things here in FL. Most recently, I found my blue-water boat in Cape Coral and am bringing her to this side tomorrow! She’s a 1974 Westsail 32 and I love her! If you’re ever in FL, reach out and let’s go sailing! Thank you all!!!!
