About Us

The Salty Dog Sailing Club, Inc. of Denver is a Colorado nonprofit organization composed of couples and singles interested in sailing and socializing with others who share their love for the sport. Boat owners and non-boat owners are welcome!
The Club plans about a dozen sails each season. These trips could include day or weekend sails at Chatfield or Cherry Creek Reservoirs, Lake Dillon or Carter Lake.
Special three day holiday trips may include Lake Granby or Pueblo Reservoir in Colorado, Lake McConaughy in Nebraska, or Glendo Reservoir in Wyoming. Salty Dog members have organized charter sails in the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Greece and France.
Aside from sailing, there are dryland activities, including ski trips and sailing video brunches during the off season months. Hikes, bike riding and barbecues are organized during the summer.
Annual events include a Christmas party and the Landlubber's Banquet with highlights of the year's activities and special awards.
