The Salty Dog Sailing Club (SDSC) of Denver is a Colorado nonprofit group of adults interested in sailing and socializing with others who share their love of sailing. Boat owners and non-boat owners, singles and couples are welcome.
The Club hosts about 12 partial-day sails or weekend sails each season at area lakes. Three-day weekend sails may include Granby, Dillon, and Pueblo, as well as McConaughy in Nebraska and Glendo in Wyoming.
Salty Dog members and friends also organize blue water charter sails in the Caribbean, the Mediteranean, and other off-shore destinations. We also host a variety of fun events on shore throughout the year.
Monthly Membership Meeting – September 14, 2017
We’ll meet at Garrison Street Grill at the northeast corner of 6th Ave and Garrison Street at 5:30pm!
The September meeting presentation will be about the Ladies Sail to the US Virgin Islands in February 2017. The participants were Ellie Watson, Pat Pardekooper, Ann Hammond, Cathleen Johnson, Chris Ferris, and Dr. Carol. It should be good!
If you want to sail with us, you must first come to one of our monthly meetings. At our meetings, you can sign up for our upcoming sails and trips.
We need Volunteers for next year’s Board
We are a volunteer club. Those perfect afternoon sails on the lake take a lot of work behind the scenes. It is the board each year which make all our on and off the water events possible. Every year it takes a little arm twisting to fill all our board positions. So step up and let us know which board positions you can help us out with. Let us know which positions you will be willingly to help with by filling out this form.
How To Sign Up For SDSC Events
The best way to sign up for the various sailing and dry land events offered by the Salty Dog Sailing Club is to come to one of our club’s monthly meetings. Individual event coordinators for up-coming events will have sign up sheets at the meetings. Once you sign up for an event and pay that event’s registration fees, you’re all set! Come out to our next club meeting and get your 2017 sailing season started in style!
